Content Centered Build Challenges

Model the Content

One great way for students to truly understand and engage with their studies is by creating models of the content they are learning. For example, in science, students can create a model of the cardiovascular system, while in social studies, they can model the difference between the Eastern and Western sides of the Berlin Wall. In ELA, students can even bring to life a scene from the book they have been reading. They can use signs, book and quill, and other tools to explain their creations and submit them according to the teacher’s rubric.

To take things to the next level, students could also use Flip Grid or screen record in PowerPoint to make a video of their work and share it. The possibilities are endless, and these kinds of projects can really help students retain and apply what they have learned.
